Introducing the Hadron Founder Campus: a first-of-its-kind web3 builder space in the heart of Dubai, UAE.
The space was designed as a Gesamtkunstwerk (the German word for total work of art), blending lighting, architecture, landscaping, digital design, and artwork into a single, immersive experience. The ambitious project was designed by Studio ZIRO to bring together local web3 builders, host community events, and provide an inspirational container for collaboration.
■ About the Project
The Hadron Campus is the vision of Sandeep Nailwal, Chain Yoda, and the Hadron/Agglayer teams.
Building a 12,000 sqft campus is no easy feat, but they knew the importance of creating this space to bring together the Dubai web3 community. Working with them, the Hadron team, and my partners in crime Harpreet Pruthi and Siya Makhija, we pulled off the impossible and completed the entire project from empty warehouse to permitting in under 1.5 years
■ The Open Workspace
At the heart of the campus lies the Open Work Area & Event Space, where biophilic tranquility meets futuristic edge through panoramic windows, tiered astroturf seating, and evolving environmental lighting. This versatile zone is designed to fuel productivity and community, featuring custom ergonomic furniture, a plug-and-play event auditorium, and lush, integrated landscaping.
■ Focus Workspace
The Focus Workspace is where things get done. Designed for deep concentration and small-team agility, the area is complemented by sound-proofed phone booths, private offices, and collaborative meeting/conference rooms. Accommodating over 40 individual desks and an open floorplan to expand capacity for hackathons, the area allows builders to curate their own level of privacy—ranging from custom collaborative long tables to individual desks equipped with privacy curtains. The space is anchored by floor to ceiling pillars, panoramic windows highlighting the upstairs Polygon Office, dramatic skylights, and custom light installations.
■ Lighting & Automation
Light is what brings the Hadron Campus to life. The space contains over 2+ miles of high-density LED strips, custom fabricated lighting fixtures, and a series of original art installations. Hallways serve as liminal spaces that bridge together various parts of the warehouse while the use of mirrors create a sense of infinite expansiveness. Every light is synced to a custom automation system, programmed to promote natural light exposure by day and evolve to warm/neon vibes at night. Since each light is programmable, partner and guest events have the ability to customize lighting to match their brand or desired vibe.
■ Rooms & Booths
The campus is designed to facilitate high-performance work, offering a comprehensive collection of offices and collab rooms. Guests have access to an array of sound-proofed phone booths, meeting booths, collab rooms, and conference rooms. From the plug-n-play conferencing hardware to ergonomic furniture in each room, every detail is designed to facilitate private, deep focus by day and cozy vibes by night as the lighting system shifts warmer.
■ Podcast & Game Room
No space would be complete without a proper content and game room. The content room features a central table, full wall seating, and plug-n-play podcasting equipment. The game room is one of my favorite spots, featuring a custom infinity grid lighting installation, 85″ OLED TV, surround sound, tiered couch seating, and is only accessible via a secret phone booth entrance.
■ Kitchen & Mezzanine
The Kitchen & Mezzanine serve as the campus’s social anchor, blending high-end utility with the project’s signature futuristic aesthetic. This elevated zone is fully equipped for community nourishment—featuring a fridge, freezer, filtered water, and integrated amenities—with seating options ranging from bar stools to cozy dining booths. Designed to transition with the sun, the area’s smart light programming shifts from a bright, clean day mode to an immersive neon evening vibe, transforming the mezzanine from a midday refuel spot into a moody lounge for evening events & networking.
■ Hardware & AV
Under the hood, the Hadron campus is a sophisticated technical environment powered by state-of-the-art Hardware & AV. Upon entry, guests are greeted with a custom Polygon NFT check-in system and biometric facial scanners for access to private areas of the space. A campus-wide Bose audio system provides precise zoned control, while the auditorium and meeting suites are outfitted with seamless wireless conferencing tools by Logitech and one-click conferencing from Barco. To maintain the project’s visual cohesion, every Samsung display in the campus is uniquely programmed with custom animations that evolve to mirror each room’s ambient lighting, with the ability to display custom branding, digital artwork, or community exhibitions on demand.
